| About Our Airport |
|
|
The Strausberg landing field is located in Brandenburg,
approximately 2km to the east of the city of Strausberg, and approx.
35 km to the east of the capital city of Berlin. |
|
|
|
A number of aircraft firms are located at the airport,
including an ultra light flying school, three flying schools for motorized
aircraft and a gliding club. In addition, the motorglider manufacturer,
STEMME is also
located at the airport. We are open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (LT)
in the Summer and, in the Winter; from SR-30 min to SS+30 min. PPR is also
possible at other times. Night flight lighting and PAPI are also available.
The runway length is 1,200 m, with a width of 28 m; providing adequate
dimensions. The airport maintains supplies of the following fuels: AVGAS
100LL, MOGAS (Super lead-free) and JET A-1 (mineral oil storage). |

Pilots and non-flyers will find accommodations at the
“Fliegerhorst” with its modern rooms and located directly near the airport.
A shuttle service to the rapid transit station, car rental and bicycle
rental as well as covered aircraft storage are all available at the airport.

In the near future, the Strausberg airport will undergo
an expansion to continue to be ready for the future and to provide an
alternative for business travelers to the BBI region. The associated planning resolution is already available and foresees a runway extension to 1,650 m, as well as the extension of the associated aprons. |
